Colchester's Town Buses History:
The company was started up in 1927 as Colchester Corporation Transport to replace the trams. Then BritBus purchased it from Colchester Council and the company traded as Colchester Borough Transport.
The company was then acquired by Arriva and was named Arriva Colchester, Arriva then pulled out of Colchester due to profits, TGM then took over and gave control to Burtons.
